A British-Colombian team of archaeologists funded by the European Research Council has unearthed eight-mile-long prehistoric rock art in the Amazonian rainforest which is said to be nearly 12,500 years old. The painting was uncovered on a cliff face last year in the Chiribiquete National Park, Colombia. The painting features animals that went extinct a long time back. The animals include mastodon and palaeolama.
