AstraZeneca vaccination drive suspended by South Africa over study questioning efficacy

After a study revealed that the AstraZeneca vaccine was not effective against the Coronavirus mutant discovered in South Africa, the South African government has decided to suspend the Covid-19 vaccinations with the AstraZeneca jab. "It's a temporary issue that we have to hold on AstraZeneca until we figure out these issues," Health Minister Zweli Mkhize said. South Africa has been hardest hit by the pandemic in entire Africa.
