Avalanche killed 4 Indian soldiers and 2 civillian porters in Siachen glacier

Four soldiers and two civilian porters reportedly lost their lives after avalanche hits army post in the Siachen Glacier. The team was on a patrol when the avalanche hit them around 3 pm in the northern glacier at an altitude of 18,000 feet. The Siachen Glacier at the height of around 20,000 ft in the Karakoram range is known as the world’s highest and coldest battlefield. 10 soldiers were killed in a massive avalanche in 2016.
