Bangkok, the venue for climate change talks is suffering from environmental threats

Bangkok is preparing to host the climate-change talks while the city itself is facing a risk of environmental changes and might be submerged partially in the coming few years. According to a world bank report, extreme rainfall and weather changes will affect 40% of Bangkok within 2030 as the seas near Thailand are rising 4 millimetres every year. The report also says that Bangkok is the victim of its own frantic development.
