Bata elevates Sandeep Kataria to global CEO post, become first Indian to hold top post

International footwear major Bata Shoe Organization on Monday announced the elevation of its India CEO Sandeep Kataria to the post of global CEO Bata Brands with immediate effect. Kataria thus becomes the first Indian to be elevated to global role of the footwear major, Bata said in a statement. He takes over from Alexis Nasard, who is stepping down after almost five years in the role, it added.
