Bengal Chief Secretary Alapan Bandyopadhyay may face disciplinary action on failing to report in Delhi

West Bengal Chief Secretary Alapan Bandyopadhyay stayed back in the state despite the direction by the centre to report in Delhi. As per the sources, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) is likely to initiate action against Bandyopadhyay if he fails to report to Delhi at 10 am on Monday. He is a 1987-batch IAS officer of West Bengal cadre who was given an extension post his retirement date on May 31.
