Bhubaneswar auto driver fined Rs 47,500 for violation of traffic rules under new Motor Vehicles Act

An auto-rickshaw driver was charged Rs 47,500 for supposedly breaking multiple clauses laid down in the revised Motor Vehicle Act on Wednesday in Bhubaneswar. This arrived a day after an auto driver in Gurugram asked to pay Rs 32,500 respectively. This may be the highest penalty ever imposed on a vehicle owner in the nation till date. The driver was caught drunk driving and has also caused several offences.
