Bihar CM Nitish Kumar is mulling reserving 33% seats in medical and engineering colleges of the state for girls. "This would be a unique endeavour and go a long way in ensuring a higher enrolment of girls in these technical institutes of higher learning," he said. He argued that the move will encourage girls to "take more interest in pursuing such courses." He said every district in the state has at least one engineering college.
