The Bombay High Court while responding to a habeaus corpus petition said an adult woman is "free to move as per her wish". The court said this while defending an inter-religion couple. The petition was filed by the father of the 19-year-old woman, who married a man from another religion. The court dismissed the plea after the daughter told Justices S S Shinde and Manish Pitale that she wanted to stay with her husband.
