A 1762 vintage bottle of cognac, one of the oldest cognacs in the world, was sold for $146,000 at an online auction. The Gautier cognac, one of only 3 surviving bottles, was auctioned by Sotheby's auction house. The bottle is known as the ‘grand frere’ or ‘big brother’ as it’s the largest of the three surviving bottles from the collection. The other two, little brother and little sister, has already been auctioned.
