Bring an end to horrifying cruelty to animals: SC lawyer writes to CJI after elephant set ablaze

Supreme Court lawyer Mathews J Nedumpara wrote a letter to CJI SA Bobde, requesting him to put an end to animal cruelty after clips of an elephant being set ablaze by some people in Tamil Nadu went viral. "I am sure your Lordship has even greater compassion for animals and would consider your Lordship's constitutional duty to do whatever is humanly possible to bring an end to the horrifying cruelty to animals," Nedumpara wrote.
