Buyer of digital-only art worth $70 million is now known

The buyer of the digital-only artwork that was sold for $70 million on Friday by auction house Christie’s, has been revealed. The buyer who purchased the artwork made by Beeple has been identified as a crypto asset investor known as “Metakovan” - a pseudonym. It was one of its kind sale, as the artwork does not exist in the physical form. The artwork is a “Non-Fungible Token” (NFT)- a newly introduced digital asset.
