"Can't allow another 1984": Delhi High Court puts onus on govt to allay fears

The death toll in northeast Delhi communal violence over the amended citizenship law has climbed to 20. The Delhi High Court held an urgent hearing at midnight after two days of incessant violence and rampage across Northeast Delhi. The court pulled up the police saying it can't allow another 1984 riots like incident to happen. The court further said the government must scale up the helplines to help those who suffered.
