Government officials in Nigeria have said that cattle feuds might be behind the kidnapping of 344 schoolboys in northwest Nigeria. This is even after evidence hinting at the involvement of Islamist militants in the kidnapping. More than 270 schoolgirls in the northeast were kidnapped in 2014 and a video of the incident was surfaced. The mass abduction led to the killing of thousands of people across Africa's most populous nation.
