Electoral Bond Scheme is issued as a pioneering step to bring election reforms ensuring transparent & accountability in political funding. Centre says that earlier political donations were made in cash by illicit means of funding & unaccounted black money was pumped in for financing polls. It also filed an affidavit, electoral bonds is to deal with corruption. SC has agreed to hear the pleas challenged against the scheme.
