China says "missing" PLA soldier was looking for Yaks, hopes of early return by India

A day after the Indian Army apprehended a Chinese soldier, identified as a colonel, in eastern Ladakh’s Demchok sector, the People’s Liberation Army said that the soldier went missing on Sunday night while looking for yaks. Colonel Zhang Shuili, spokesperson of the Western Theatre Command said the Chinese border guards informed the Indian side that the soldier went missing while hoping that India will return the soldier.
