China sends 56 warplanes into Taiwan air defence zone, Taipei seeks help of world community

As many as 56 Chinese warplanes, including 36 fighter jets, 12 H-6 nuclear-capable bombers and four other planes, entered Taiwan's air defence identification zone in a fresh provocative action by Beijing. "We demand the Beijing authorities immediately stop its non-peaceful and irresponsible provocative actions," Mainland Affairs Council spokesman Chiu Chui-cheng said. Taiwan also sought help from its allies including Australia.
