Chinese foreign ministry tells India to put border dispute at “appropriate position”

Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said that India should focus on the long-term development of ties with China and put the border dispute at an “appropriate position”. Wang said this in response to Indian ambassador Vikram Misri’s statement who said that there was a tendency in some quarters to sweep the situation at the border “under the carpet”. Misri said, "it would be tantamount to running away from the problem".
