Climatic disasters in last 20 years has caused a huge loss in India

As the UN report states, climatic disasters have caused an economic loss of $79.5 bn to India in last 20 years. The report titled ‘Economic Losses, Poverty and Disasters 1998-2017', shows that between 1998 to 2017, there was rise of 151% in direct economic losses due to climatic disasters. It said that impact of disasters between this period leads to loss of $2.908 tn of the global economy. The greatest loss is seen by US.
