Cognizant’s bank accounts frozen over non-payment issue

Some of the bank accounts of Cognizant Technology Solutions India P Ltd have been frozen by I-T dept to recover Rs 2,500 DDT that Cognizant owes to the Govt. DDT needs to be paid on any distribution of the capital and Cognizant has failed to pay the DDT for the year 2016-17. According to the Cognizant spokesperson, the company’s business associations, clients and associates are not impacted due to this.
