Commander Tomy rescue operation: Naval officer rescued safely

39-year-old Indian naval commander Tomy was taking part in the 2018 Golden Globe Race when his boat was struck by a storm and an international rescue operation had been launched to rescue the naval commander. He was stranded for 84 days since setting off from France. The Kirti chakra awardee's boat was dismasted in the storm and 10 meters long waves. According to Navy officials tweet he has been rescued safely this morning.
