Contractor slapped with Rs 1 Lakh fine by IRCTC after passenger finds fungus in Bread Cutlets

A passenger travelling in Chiplun-bound Janshatabdi Express on January 11 complained that the bread cutlets served to her were stale and had fungus on them, following which, a complaint was filed by her on the Rail Madad app of the Indian Railways. The Indian Rail Catering Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), acting upon the passenger's complaint, imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on the contractor along with a legal notice.
