Coronavirus count in India near 2 lakh, 8,131 cases registered in 24 hours

India saw another record jump in number of coronavirus cases as 8,131 new cases were registered in the past 24 hours. The country now has 1,98,706 cases of the pandemic. As many as 95,527 people have been cured or recovered. There are 97,581 active cases of the deadly disease. The death toll stands at 5,598 out of which, 204 deaths were reported in the past 24 hours. Maharashtra has been worst hit with over 70,000 cases.
