Coronavirus death varies from 0.0016 to 7.8% depending on the age of people: Lancet study

According to a new study published in The Lancet Infectious Diseases, death rates from COVID-19 range from 0.0016 to 7.8% depending on the age group of people. The study noted that previous estimates of overall deaths from COVID-19 were estimated to be 0.2 to 1.6 and between 8 to 36% for the oldest age group. However, these estimates didn't include the fact that only people showing severe symptoms are being tested.
