Coronavirus in India: Nearly 12,000 patients recover, 70,000 people being tested per day

As the number of coronavirus cases in India breached the 42,000 mark, the total count of those who recovered from the pandemic is inching towards 12,000 mark, reducing the active cases tally to 29,453. India has also ramped up its testing capacity. The total number of coronavirus tests in India crossed the one million-mark on Saturday. ICMR has reached a per day testing level of about 70,000, as per the official data.
