The total number of coronavirus cases in India has crossed two lakh as the country continues to report over 8,000 cases on an average since the last few days. Deaths due to the deadly virus has also crossed 5,500. In the highest single day surge, 8,909 cases were reported in the past 24 hours. The death toll stands at 5,815. As many as 1,00,303 have been cured or discharged while there are still over 1 lakh active cases.
