India on Friday recorded the highest one-day surge in Covid-19 cases with 6,088 infections being reported in 24 hours. The total count of positive cases surged to 1,18, 447. 148 deaths were reported in past 24 hours, taking the death toll due to the pandemic to 3,583. 48,533 people have been cured of the pandemic till now. There are 66, 330 active cases of the novel coronavirus in the country as of now.
