Meghalaya reported its first coronavirus case on Monday after a Shillong-based doctor tested positive for the Covid-19 infection. The news was confirmed by Meghalaya chief secretary who said in a press release, that a doctor from Bethany hospital has tested positive for coronavirus. The Meghalaya government has turned the hospital, located in Shillong, into a quarantine facility. A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in Shillong.
