Coronavirus: One-third of migrant workers could be infected, government tells SC

The Centre on Tuesday told the Supreme Court that there is a possibility that one-third of migrant workers moving from cities to rural areas could be infected with the novel coronavirus. SC directed the Centre to ensure food, water, beds, medication and counselling in shelters for migrant workers. The apex court also ordered the Centre to create a portal with healthcare professionals within 24 hours to answer queries.
