Italy reports 475 coronavirus deaths in 24 hours, the highest one-day toll of any country

Italy has become the new epicentre for coronavirus with 475 new deaths in just 24 hours and taking the total toll to 2,978. This is the highest death toll reported in one day by any country since outbreak. The total number of cases in Italy rose to 35,713 from a previous 31,506. Out of those originally infected; 4,025 had fully recovered as compared to 2,941 and some 2,257 people were in intensive care against a previous 2,060.
