Couple from Tamil Nadu jailed for spending wrongly credited Rs.40 lakh

A couple from Tirupur, Tamil Nadu, V Gunasekaran and Radha have been sent to jail for spending wrongly credited Rs.40 lakh. The money was meant for local area development and had to be transferred to the account of the PWD executive engineer. Gunasekaran's and his wife spent all the money on buying a property and their daughter's wedding. They were sent to jail after they were unable to re-deposit the money.
