In a welcome move, the government in Singapore has decided to provide a one-time bonus for couples planning a baby to become parents during the pandemic. According to Singapore Deputy PM Heng Swee Keat, those facing difficulties in becoming parents due to the pandemic situation will get the incentive. The government decided to take this step as many had to postpone their plans for parenthood due to the economic crisis.
