Court issues notice to WhatsApp, Google on plea to save data over JNU attack

The Delhi High Court has issued notices to WhatsApp and Google on a petition seeking preservation of data including CCTV footage, WhatsApp messages and other relevant data in connection to the January 5 violence that took place at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Delhi Police has already written to the JNU authorities to preserve the CCTV footage and WhatsApp data. The professors have also requested for some data.
