India on Thursday morning recorded 9,304 new cases of novel coronavirus, the highest single day surge, and 260 deaths in 24 hours. Total coronavirus cases in India are now at 2,16,919 while the death toll due to the pandemic stands at 6,075. 1,04,107 patients have been cured/ recovered. The tally of active cases in the country now stands at 1,06,737. Maharashtra alone has reported 74,860 cases of the pandemic.
