Covid samples tested in India do not have new strain discovered in UK: ICMR-NARI director

Dr. Samiran Panda, director of ICMR-National AIDS Research Institute (NARI) has said that the new mutant strain of Covid discovered in UK has not been found in the Covid samples tested in India. "We need to be watchful as Covid-19 is a new phenomenon and was unknown to the immune system. The virus changes under immunological pressure for survival and due to proliferation as well,” Dr. Panda explained
