A Covid test kit that uses saliva from deep within the throat for testing has been approved by the authorities in Singapore. According to Singapore's Health Sciences Authority, Advanced MedTech, it is the first of its type testing kit to receive approval. The government in Singapore is looking to ramp up testing to re-open its borders and resume more economic activity. The country's borders have been largely shut for most of 2020.
