COVID-19 in US: New York reports 731 deaths in 24 hours, highest in a day

The deadly coronavirus cases have been alarming in the US, with New York recording its highest number of coronavirus deaths in 24 hours. NY Governor Andrew Cuomo said 731 people died due to the deadly virus taking the death toll to 5,489. The governor added that the hospitalizations appeared to be plateauing. The previous single-day record was 630. New York has the highest concentration of Indian Americans.
