In a tragic incident, a bus conductor drowned in Krishna river while trying to avoid cops during lockdown imposed in the wake of coronavirus outbreak in Vijayapura district of Karnataka. The victim identified as 45-year-old Mallapa Bommanagi decided to swim to his village a kilometer away from the police check post after an altercation with the cops. Mallappa was intercepted by policemen at Tangadagi check post with his family.
