The indications and outcomes of coronavirus infections are similar to life-threatening conditions namely Sepsis according to an article published in JAMA. Sepsis is caused due to the body's response to infection and triggers changes that can damage organs. It also said that many COVID-19 survivors are likely to experience long-lasting side-effects. It is still unknown whether recovery from COVID will be different from recovery after sepsis.
