Creating 1 AI is worse for the planet: An AI's Carbon Footprint is 5 times bigger than a Car's

There's a buzz about AI in every field, but we are yet to see its side effects. According to a study carried out by Emma Strubell at the University of Massachusetts training, a neural network creates a carbon footprint of 284 tonnes. This is 5 times as much emissions an average car would put out in its entire lifetime. These AIs are trained via deep learning and training AI is an energy-intensive process.
