Crime rate in Delhi four times in comparison to other metros: NCRB

According to the data released by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), the crime rate per lakh population in Delhi was almost four times the other metropolitan cities in the country in 2018. In comparison to the national average of 238, the records show that Delhi witnessed 1,273 cases per lakh people in the capital. Out of the total violent crimes recorded in metropolitan cities, 41% took place in Delhi.
