Cyclone Yaas weakens into deep depression over Jharkhand after unleashing fury in Odisha

After unleashing its fury in Odisha and West Bengal, Cyclone Yaas has weakened into a deep depression over Jharkhand on Thursday. According to India Meteorological Department, the cyclone is expected to move northwestwards and weaken gradually into a depression during the next 12 hours. A complete lockdown was imposed in some parts of Jharkhand and the state authorities were put on high alert in view of the cyclone.
