A genetic study of Vikings has confirmed that dark hair was quite common among Vikings than Danes today. The study has also confirmed Vikings from different parts of Scandinavia set sail for different parts of the world. The study also brought an existing data from over 1000 ancient individuals from non-Viking times. the team found that from the iron age, southern European genes entered Denmark & then went north.
