DCW inspection team finds women inmates using open toilet inside cells at Tihar

Delhi Commission for Women chairperson Swati Maliwal reached the Tihar jail to conduct an inspection of the women jail on Monday. Ms Maliwal noticed that three women were kept in a congested cell with no separate entrance to the toilet. She advised the jail authorities to cover the toilet. The commission also asked the authorities to increase the number of lawyers visiting the jail from 1 to 5 for better legal assistance.
