The city of Beira in Mozambique was hit by Cyclone Idai on Thursday last week, taking lives of nearly 300 to 400 people while nearly 15,000 people are still expected to be missing, Land and Environment Minister Celso Correia said. After the disaster, the residents were seen frustrated due to the shortage of water, food and other essentials. The storm’s torrential rains led to burst of Buzi and Pungwe rivers' banks.
