Defence Minister Rajnath Singh approves archiving, declassification of India's war histories, military operations

In a major move, the Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has given his nod to archiving, declassification and compilation and publication of India's war histories and other military operations. The Ministry of Defence can now compile and publish letters and books based on the records, including war diaries, letters of proceedings and operational record books. The History Division will coordinate with different records for the task.
