Delhi's groundwater table declining at the rate of 0.2 metres every year: Report

Delhi's groundwater worries continue to rise as several areas already face water shortages. As per a report by Central Groundwater Board, the capital's groundwater table is declining at a rate of 0.2 metres each year. The groundwater table in south and southwest Delhi has declined 80 metres below the ground level. The NGT has already ordered the sealing of borewell points deployed in irrigation and municipal parks.
