Despite the broken system, 7 in 10 Indians are positive about country's future

A survey carried out in 24 countries based on 'pessimistic market' index placed India at 20th rank with 3 out of 10 Indians feeling that India is in decline. The survey revealed that 3 in 5 Indians see a systemic political failure and the economic scales dipping in favour of the rich and powerful. A lack of confidence in the government, banking system and judiciary was felt by 38%, 26% and 29% Indians, respectively.
