The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has become the first in the world to be fully operated by solar power. The DMRC will use solar energy for its operations and has even started getting solar power from the Rewa Solar Power Project (RSP) in Madhya Pradesh. This environment-friendly step will help to save millions of tonnes of carbon waste in the coming years. The energy will be used for lighting and air conditioning.
