Do not allow Kanwar yatra, bring 'Ganga Jal' from Haridwar to respect religious sentiments, says Centre

The Central government on Friday cleared its stance in the Supreme Court on Kanwar Yatra. The centre filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court in which it said the states must not allow the Kanwar Yatra in view of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the centre proposed a formula to respect religious sentiments as well. The centre said state governments must develop a system to make 'Ganga Jal' available via tankers.
